An update has been issued on the bone that was found near the home of Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing since February 1.
While many are starting to fear that the investigation into the disappearance of the Today Show host’s mother has gone cold, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos affirmed that there has been progress in the search. Meanwhile, authorities are pleading with civilian searchers to leave the investigation to law enforcement.
Now, a spokesperson for the Tucson Police Department in Arizona said a human bone was found on Thursday, May 7, at North Craycroft Road and East River Road – about seven miles from Nancy’s house in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood. The probe into the finding has been described as a “prehistoric anthropological investigation” and is not criminal in nature.
