The new docks were built to include a center rail and no in-water anchoring. They are designed to be free standing and self supporting. Local leaders and legislators highlighted the benefits of the new docks, saying they are needed to easily accommodate fluctuating water levels.
“The new docks make it even easier for boaters and anglers to enjoy the Hudson River and Bethlehem’s beautiful Henry Hudson Park,” said Bethlehem Administrator of Parks and Recreation Jason Gallo. “We could not have done this project without DEC’s generous support.”

“This is an amazing premier boat launch on the Hudson River for us, and we were really thrilled to make this investment in creating this new recreational access opportunity along the river here,” said New York State DEC Region 4 Director Sean Mahar. “Working with our partners at the town and the county, we really leveraged the dollars from the New York Works fund that the governor has invested in this project to really make these docks a possibility.”…
