CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A video showing Charleston police officers wrangling an alligator has drawn widespread attention online, racking up more than 200,000 views on Facebook alone.
The footage, released by the Charleston Police Department, shows officers from the department’s Animal Control Unit struggling to secure the alligator earlier this week. In the video, the reptile rolls and thrashes as officers work to pin it down before safely restraining it.
