Man convicted of Sumner County burglary after dropping Bible inscribed with his name at crime scene

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A North Carolina man is facing up to almost three decades in prison after being convicted of robbing a Sumner County home while high on cocaine.

Sumner County District Attorney General Thomas Dean announced that a jury convicted 51-year-old Kippy Lee Lynch of aggravated burglary, burglary, theft, attempt to commit burglary, DUI and simple possession of cocaine in connection with the January 2023 break-in.

The prosecutor said on the night of January 13, Lynch and his co-defendant “got high on cocaine and entered a home in the Island Brook subdivision of Hendersonville while the owner was inside asleep.”…
