Florida State is not doing a great job on the recruiting trail for the 2027 cycle. This is obvious because of the job security of head coach Mike Norvell. The Seminoles will have to once again come through in the summer months during official visits.
Florida State landed three-star quarterback Logan Flaherty from Port Charlotte, Florida, recently. Some fans don’t like the take because of his three-star ranking, and they even refer to Mike Norvell as “Three-star Mike”. It is warranted since Norvell has not taken advantage of getting highly-touted prospects and has elected to get developmental recruits.
The news is getting even worse for Florida State, as arch-rivals Miami and Florida are in the top five of the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2027 cycle.
