AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – An active weather situation is expected late tomorrow, and we are gearing up for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms.
Moisture will be abundant and we will monitor some boundaries in the area that may be the focal point for intense storms to initiate late tomorrow.
Our main concern will be for storms producing damaging hail and very strong winds. However, an isolated tornado can not be completely ruled out.
Storms are expected do develop in western counties by late afternoon and then track eastward through much of our area including Amarillo, by mid evening.
We will know more about the timing, placement, and intensity of the expected storms by early tomorrow so we encourage folks to stay tuned for updates as the situation materializes…
