LINCOLN–(KFOR May 21)–Lincoln Police will have extra officers on patrol each night through much of Memorial Day weekend, focused in on “O” Street between 17th and 84th streets, to crack down on dangerous driving behavior, trespassing on private property and closed business lots, littering, excessive noise and alcohol-related violations.
Extra patrols will be done on Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night.
LPD public information manager Erika Thomas says Memorial Day weekend has traditionally attracted large gatherings to “O” Street between 44th and 52nd streets to display and admire customized and specialty vehicles.
