On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina on Glensford Drive in Fayetteville shut down after serving customers for more than 25 years.
The restaurant closed its doors for good on Friday, May 13 and by Monday, May 18, the Fayetteville spot had vanished from the company’s website.
Pappas Restaurants, based in Houston, acquired the Tex-Mex chain out of bankruptcy in 2025. Pappas operates eateries across Texas and multiple Southern states, with spots in Georgia and Alabama.
