FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A breezy Friday will gradually turn cloudier as the day progresses, but the main story arrives this evening: rain is on the way.

Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout Friday with increasing cloud cover as the day goes on. High temperatures will reach the upper 60s, but don’t let that fool you — it’ll feel a bit breezy at times with eastern winds gusting up to 25 mph. Rain will gradually return by this evening and tonight, pushing in from the south.

Saturday: Morning showers, afternoon clearing

Saturday starts wet with scattered showers expected in the morning hours. If you’re planning to visit a local Farmers Market, keep an eye on the forecast — some may need to adjust their opening plans due to the rain.

The good news? We’ll gradually dry up past mid-morning into early afternoon as the main batch of rain exits the area. Skies will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day with highs reaching 72 degrees.
