Cumberland County commissioners gave the green light to $4.7 million in contracts for Crown Coliseum improvements. This happened at their May 18 meeting. The board handed out $1,721,688.42 to Metropolitan Interactive for a new audio system and $2,994,533.24 to DBI Draughon Brothers, Inc. for a netting system.
The board also honored the Grays Creek High School FFA “Creek Crazies” Envirothon Team. They placed third in the Area VII Envirothon and third in the FFA Division State Envirothon competition. Team advisor Sean Garcia and team members Cayden Boyd, Lindsey Garcia, Corbin Stephens, Peyton Starling, and Riley Shirley attended.
