West Palm Beach veterans find support with service dogs

Veterans in West Palm Beach living with post-traumatic stress disorder and other service-related challenges are finding support through Semper Fi Service Dogs, a local nonprofit that pairs rescued dogs with veterans in need.

Founded in 2019 by Marine Corps veteran Ryan Onda, the organization trains service dogs for veterans dealing with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma and other issues, according to a community announcement.

But for Onda, the mission goes beyond training dogs.
