SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – The Southport Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 2, for a proposal to establish a local historic district covering 386 parcels across the city.
The hearing will address rezoning case ZMA-25-02, a proposed zoning map overlay that would create the Southport Local Historic District. According to the city, the overlay would affect residential, commercial, religious and institutional buildings, parks, and vacant lots.
