BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — With Louisiana continuing to battle high rates of food insecurity and chronic illnesses, community leaders and health organizations gathered in Baton Rouge Friday to provide families with something they say can change lives: healthy food and health education.
Aetna Better Health of Louisiana and Goodr hosted a “Food is Medicine” Mobile Market at the Inspiration Center on Winbourne Avenue, where community members received free boxes of fresh produce, pantry staples, and resources focused on chronic disease prevention and management.
