ATTLEBORO — On Saturday, May 23, 2026, at approximately 5:03 p.m., firefighters with the Attleboro Fire Department responded to Park Street Pizza at 104 Park Street following reports of a fire inside the restaurant.
According to the Attleboro Fire Department, when crews first arrived on scene, they observed heavy, dark smoke coming from the restaurant. Fire crews made an interior attack using portable fire extinguishers and brought the fire under control in approximately five minutes.
Smoke from the fire entered parts of a multifamily residential structure that’s attached to the restaurant, but firefighters were able to prevent the fire from extending into or damaging the residential occupancy.
“Fires in restaurants can be difficult due to the variety of potential ignition sources and cooking equipment involved,” District Chief Michael Maitland said. “Crews extinguished this fire extremely quickly, preventing further damage to the restaurant and surrounding structure.”…
