IRONDALE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — The City of Irondale held an Ordinance Committee meeting Wednesday evening to address community concerns over potential data centers, even as city officials stressed they are not currently pursuing any such projects. The meeting was held before the regular City Council meeting, which was moved due to primary elections on Tuesday.
Many communities around Alabama, including Bessemer, Childersburg, Columbiana and others, have faced public outcry over proposed AI data centers. The pushback isn’t just in Alabama.
