‘Significant risk’: FW city councilmember shares concerns, as quarry meeting is set for Tuesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  — As Allen County gets set for a meeting about one of the county’s more controversial proposed projects, some Fort Wayne City Council members are raising concerns despite a proposed quarry not being in city limits.

“As the representative on city council for southwest Fort Wayne, I just have to speak up for all the neighbors, and my community has been very concerned about it,” said (R) Scott Myers, 4th District Councilman, while joining WANE 15 First News Sunday. “This one just isn’t the right fit. There’s just too many concerns… I just have to speak for the voice of the people who are just saying no thank you.”

Myers joined WANE 15 just days before a special meeting of the Allen County Board of Zoning Appeals and Allen County Plan Commission.
