HARVEST, Ala. — Firefighters responded Sunday evening to a vehicle fire at a gas station along Highway 53 in Harvest, where flames threatened nearby buildings
According to the Harvest Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched around 7:41 p.m. to the FX gas station in the 6300 block of Highway 53 after reports of a single vehicle on fire.
Because of concerns the fire could spread to nearby buildings, Toney Volunteer Fire & Rescue was called in for mutual aid.
Firefighters from both departments worked quickly to stretch hose lines and bring the fire under control. Officials said approximately 900 gallons of water were used during the response…
