Huntsville announces Memorial Day closures for municipal offices

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The City of Huntsville is alerting residents to several holiday schedule changes that could impact services across the city.

City officials say municipal offices will close Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. That includes Animal Services, Huntsville Transit, and Municipal Court. Offices are scheduled to reopen Tuesday, May 26, at 8 a.m.

While several city services will pause for the holiday, some recreational spots will remain open. Get-A-Way Skate Park, Kids’ Space, the Dr. Richard Showers, Sr. Splash Pad, and the Everybody Can Play Splash Pad are all expected to operate during their normal hours as families head out to celebrate the long weekend…
