LOS ANGELES – A Westlake Village homeowners association had already flagged safety concerns about the crosswalk where Rebecca Grossman was later convicted of killing two young brothers, a retired plastic surgeon testified Friday.
Dr. Theodore Corwin told a Van Nuys Superior Court jury that residents in his HOA were worried about the crossing at Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Drive in 2018 – two years before the Sept. 29, 2020 crash.
Corwin, who testified virtually as a defense witness, said HOA members held meetings about the crosswalk and brought their concerns to city officials. He said city staff told residents the concerns would be taken under advisement and that the final decision rested with the City Council…
