Dash camera footage leads to arrest in Albuquerque road rage incident

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque driver is lucky that only his car was riddled with bullet holes after an apparent road rage shooting that was caught on his personal dash camera.

It’s the middle of the afternoon on April 4 at a busy Albuquerque intersection when the driver of a blue Nissan Altima rolls down his window and fires shots at another car. Albuquerque police caught up with the victim, who told the officer he was driving on Coors, planning to make a right turn onto Central.

The driver’s dash cam video shows him starting to get into the turning lane, then swerving back to the left as the Altima comes into view, slows down, and the driver fires shots out the window. The victim told police he didn’t know his car had been hit until he pulled over and realized his radiator was leaking. “I thought he was kidding around. I was like ducking, and I’m like I didn’t hear anything, and then I pull over here.”…
