“A true victim”: 16-year-old shot and killed in Pierce County

TACOMA, Wash. — Pierce County Sheriffs deputies responded to reports of a seriously wounded person in the 10200 block of S Sheridan Avenue in Parkland around 7:13 p.m. Sunday.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, suffered a gunshot injury. Medical responders performed CPR, but he died at the scene.

According to Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputy Carly Cappetto, the boy was walking with his girlfriend, also 16-years-old, when a vehicle drove up and surprised them. The occupant robbed the boy of some jewelry and then shot him, Cappetto said…
