PSD sets timeline for release of school closure plans, formal vote

Poudre School District will publicly share the recommendation for school consolidations and closures prepared by a planning committee by late September or early October, with a vote by the Board of Education scheduled for Nov. 3.

That was the consensus of the six members of the Board of Education present for a special meeting June 16 that included three hours of discussion on future public engagement opportunities and the timeline for determining what schools will be consolidated or closed as early as the 2027-28 school year.

A Comprehensive Planning Committee that began meeting in April 2025 has been working toward providing a recommendation on consolidations or closures in response to the district’s declining enrollment.
