BRIGHTON, Colo. (KDVR) – Dozens of firefighters who work alongside North Metro Fire met at the training facility Wednesday ahead of one of the busiest days of the year for firefighters, the 4th of July.

“Fireworks are never allowed in our district, especially right now. It’s extra important; there are several fires burning across our state,” Katie Converse, the Public Information Officer for North Metro Fire, said.
Converse said North Metro is in a stage one fire ban, which means no fireworks, including sparklers.
North Metro Fire works in the City and County of Broomfield, Northglenn, unincorporated parts of Adams County, Weld County, Boulder County and Jefferson County, according to Converse…
