At least 78 dogs removed by authorities from ‘ranch sanctuary’ in Colorado

The seizure of more than 80 dogs is underway in Lyons, Colorado, per a February 1 press release from the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA). According to their report, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office assisted the CDA Pet Animal Care and Facilities Act program staff in the removal of more than 80 dogs from Just 4 Jacks Ranch Sanctuary on January 31. A key reason for the removal was the reported lack of a valid animal care facility license, with regulations stating that no one can house or harbor more than 15 dogs and cats without an official permit to do so.
