Three stormwater maintenance projects are scheduled to start in February and early March to fix storm drainpipes. The work will occur Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. The first project starts on Thursday, February 8 on US 34, south of Lake Loveland, and will last two weeks. The westbound right lane will be closed. Residents should use Garfield to 1st Street or 29th Street for westbound travel.

The second project will be on Monroe Avenue north of 42nd Street, from Monday, February 19 to Friday, February 23. The right shoulder lane will be closed. Residents should use 37th Street to US 287 and then 57th Street to bypass the construction.

The third project will be on Buchanan Avenue and N. Garfield Avenue from Tuesday, March 5 to Tuesday, March 11. The right turn lane from Buchanan onto southbound 287 will be closed. Drivers should stay on 287 to 29th Street heading southbound. To access the shopping center, enter Orchards before reaching N. Garfield Avenue.

Loveland’s stormwater pipes are regularly inspected. In 2023, 1,100 pipes were inspected and 15 needed repairs, including the three mentioned. The rest will be fixed throughout the year.
