Fans Calling for Coach to be Fired After loss to Deion Sanders, Colorado

Coming into the 2024 college football season, Colorado State’s Jay Norvell was viewed as a coach who was approaching hot-seat discussions.

This season marks just his third year in Fort Collins, but after the Rams’ 28-9 loss to Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes in front of a record crowd at Canvas Stadium, fan support continues to drop.

The loss will certainly be rubbed in the face of Norvell and the Rams, as not only is it a rivalry game, but two of their star players did a lot of talking leading up to the game. Star wide receiver Tory Horton went as far as to say that the Rams should have “murdered” Colorado in 2023, while quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi took a shot at Colorado’s social media following.

Comments that Sanders himself called out Colorado State for after the game, saying he would not have allowed his players to talk like Norvell did before the match.

Colorado State fans were not thrilled with the team’s showing, and some think the Norvell era should come to a close.
