Colorado State University’s Spur campus and the National Western Center are huge economic drivers for Denver and the entire state, generating an estimated $3 billion in goods and services and more than $2.1 billion in personal income from 2022-27, according to a new report .
The report, a comprehensive joint evaluation conducted by the Common Sense Institute and Keystone Policy Center, was released April 22. It builds upon a previous study conducted in 2023 that focused only on the 16-day run of the annual National Western Stock Show, research analyst and CSI report author Cole Anderson said in an email interview.
The new report projects the CSU Spur campus to generate $21.3 million in goods and services — gross domestic product, Anderson said — and $16 million in personal income in 2025 alone. And those figures, the report noted, are expected to grow as the campus attracts more visitors and continues to expand its programming in future years…
