Man arrested after alleged road rage shooting in Weld County

DENVER (KDVR) — A man sustained a non-life-threatening injury, and another man was later arrested at his home following an alleged road rage shooting in Weld County on Thursday.

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that patrol officers responded to the alleged road rage incident at about 5 p.m. at northbound Highway 85 and 37th Street.

Officers encountered an adult male who had been struck by gunfire, according to the sheriff’s office, which said interviews and other evidence gathered at the scene identified 27-year-old Austin Vinion as the suspect.

The sheriff’s office said deputies later contacted Vinion at his residence and developed probable cause to arrest him on suspicion of attempted second-degree homicide, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment…
