DENVER — The board of directors for Denver’s Regional Transportation District has approved a $5.58 million grant for the first step in preparations to establish three daily passenger rail round trips to Fort Collins, Colo., by early 2029.
The April 29 decision will help fund a share of engineering design for required infrastructure upgrades. It is the final piece of public funding necessary to move the project forward.
