BOULDER, Colo. — A man who shot the mother of his children – while those two children were in the back seat of the vehicle – more than two years ago was sentenced Monday in Boulder County District Court.
In February, Brandon Allen pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the shooting. According to prosecutors, he shot the woman in the driveway of her Longmont home near East Mountain View and Deerwood Drive on the afternoon of March 20, 2024. According to an arrest affidavit from Longmont Police, multiple neighbors heard gunshots and heard children yelling.
“This horrific, brutal shooting was an outrageous act of domestic violence. The victim is lucky to be alive. It is because of her courage, and that of her kids, that she is alive today and the defendant received this lengthy sentence to state prison,” DA Michael Dougherty said…
