Man who died in Boulder Canyon Drive crash identified as 87-year-old from Fort Collins

The person who died after their car went down an embankment off Boulder Canyon Drive on Monday was identified as an 87-year-old man from Fort Collins by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.

Gerald Gossley died when the red GMC Terrain he was driving plunged off Boulder Canyon Drive and down a 20-foot embankment on Monday afternoon at mile marker 38 of the roadway, also signed as Colorado 119, according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Hunter Mathews. Gossley died at the scene.
