Final Course: Five longtime Palm Beach County restaurants close

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Five longtime Palm Beach County restaurants closed their doors this spring, marking the end of decades-long runs for some local favorites.

Among the closures is City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill in West Palm Beach, which served diners for 26 years before shutting down in late May when its lease expired. The closure impacted nearly 100 employees, according to a federal notice obtained by CBS12 news partners at the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Also in West Palm Beach, Morton’s The Steakhouse closed at the end of May after deciding not to renew its lease at Phillips Point. Company officials thanked the community for its years of support and said efforts were underway to relocate employees to nearby sister restaurants…
