A woman who met a Boca Raton man on a ‘sugar daddy’ website is accused of taking his $15,000 Cartier bracelet and threatening him with a false accusation if he did not give her another piece of jewelry.
According to court documents filed this week, officers responded at approximately 12:58 a.m. July 1 to a 911 hang-up call at a Boca Raton residence whose address was redacted. Upon arrival, officers encountered both the alleged victim and the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Edith Smith of Miami. Police said the alleged victim told investigators he had met Smith through the dating website SugarDaddy.com and invited her to his home on the evening of June 30.
