The family of 6-year-old Harlow Jet Tran is suing the city of Coral Springs, alleging a police officer’s attempt to stop a driver for dark window tints turned into an improper pursuit that ended with the child’s death.
The wrongful-death lawsuit was filed April 7 in Broward County Circuit Court by Danny Tran, acting on behalf of Harlow’s estate, against the city seeking unspecified damages in excess of $50,000.
Harlow died May 5, 2024, after a driver, Chevon Dalton Graham, fled from a Coral Springs police officer who tried to stop his 2023 white Mercedes-Benz near the 8500 block of West Sample Road, according to police records. The basis for the stop was excessively dark window tints, police said…
