Student in custody after false gun threat led to lockdown at Sunrise school, cops say

A student was taken into custody after making a false threat involving a gun at a high school in Sunrise, leading to a lockdown on Tuesday, police said.

Sunrise Police said they received a 911 call about a student at Piper High School who was in possession of a firearm.

The school was placed on lockdown while the tip was investigated but the lockdown was lifted after it was determined the threat wasn’t credible, officials said…
