I-95 Rollover Near Palmetto Park Road Kills One, Snarls Traffic Into Broward

A vehicle rolled over on northbound Interstate 95 just south of the Palmetto Park Road exit in Boca Raton, coming to rest on the overpass and killing one person who appeared to have been ejected during the crash. The wreck triggered hours of gridlock that stretched well beyond Palm Beach County as investigators worked the scene.

The crash was first reported on Monday, according to BocaNewsNow, which detailed how the vehicle flipped and landed on the overpass structure itself. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal crash on northbound I-95 near the Palmetto Park Road exit, according to WPBF, and troopers remained at the scene as the investigation continued Monday evening.

WPBF reported that Florida Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed congestion backing up all the way from Glades Road in Palm Beach County to Hillsboro Boulevard in Broward County.
