JENSEN BEACH, Fla. A 25-year-old man faces a robbery charge after authorities identified him as the suspect who stole more than $22,000 in gold jewelry from a mall kiosk.

What we know:

Martin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations detectives identified Dezmone Johnson, 25, as the suspect in a high-value theft. Video footage showed Johnson posing as a legitimate customer at a Treasure Coast Mall kiosk while looking at several gold chains before grabbing the jewelry and running.

A second video captured Johnson at a pawn shop selling the stolen items, which totaled more than $22,000 in losses.

Detectives worked alongside the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate Johnson in Broward County.
