Boynton Beach Woman Accused of Threatening Family Member With Mirror

MIRROR MIRROR ON YOUR HEAD? Makeup Artist Arrested In Boca Raton.

BocaNewsNow.com has learned that Joannah Grace Reich was arrested after officers responded to a domestic disturbance call around 9:55 p.m. The family member told police the fight started at the top of a staircase and continued after both of them went downstairs. He said Reich grabbed a gold-colored mirror and told him, “You have no idea how badly I want to break this over you right now,” then acted as if she planned to swing it at him. He told police he believed she would, and could, follow through. After he got her to set the mirror down, he said she reached for a second, heavier one — he grabbed it from her hands without touching her, and she scratched the left side of his neck, leaving it red. He told officers he walked out the open front door so his doorbell camera would capture the incident, then heard Reich fall behind him and turned to find her on the floor holding her head.

Reich gave police a different version of events. She said the man carried her down the stairs over his shoulder and that she used a closed fist to hit him in the back to get him to put her down. Once at the bottom, she said, he set her down and she picked up the gold mirror — but denied ever threatening to swing it at him. She said that as she reached for the second mirror, he grabbed her around the waist, lifted her and threw her out the open front door, which is how she hit her head.

The investigating officer noted Reich’s injuries were consistent with a scratch, while an examination of the man’s back turned up no redness or other signs he had been struck as she described. Based on the statements and the physical evidence, police determined Reich was the primary aggressor and arrested her on charges of simple battery and simple assault. She was booked into the Palm Beach County jail on September 7 and later released on $1000 bond…
