Two familiar faces vie to become Opa-locka’s next mayor

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. — The city of Opa-locka will get a new mayor as residents choose between two familiar faces: current Commissioner Natasha Ervin and former Commissioner Rose Tydus.

Ervin, a business owner who has previously served as vice mayor, is campaigning for the seat on a pink-clad golf cart as she makes her way around the city.
