WATCH: Florida fire crew rescues kitten from storm drain after Uber driver hears ‘cries’

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WFLA) — A fire crew in Fort Lauderdale pulled a kitten out of a storm drain after a passing Uber driver reported he “heard the cries” coming from a manhole, according to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.

A video posted on Facebook on Thursday shows a firefighter climbing into a manhole and multiple storm drains to locate the kitten.

The crew used water from the engine and a hydrant to guide the kitten to safety, according to the video.

A firefighter pulled the soaked kitten out of a storm drain, and the crew posed for pictures with the “little fighter,” the fire rescue said.

The fire crew names the kitten “Gutter,” and he was adopted by one of the firefighters…
