Tampa man and Fort Myers man sentenced for drug trafficking conspiracy

FORT MYERS, Florida — Clarence Black Jr., 50, of Tampa, and Jarrek Fabrion Myrick, 40, of Fort Myers, have been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Black received a sentence of 20 years and 6 months, while Myrick was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months, according to U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. Both men pleaded guilty, with Black entering his plea on November 19, 2025, and Myrick on January 27, 2026.

Court documents reveal that between January 25, 2025, and February 4, 2025, Black and Myrick traveled to California and shipped methamphetamine and fentanyl to the Tampa and Southwest Florida areas. The drug-laden parcels, totaling over 90 pounds, were intercepted…
