SHIPPENSBURG- A man who allegedly thought people were “after him” is facing numerous charges following an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police. Paul Joseph Perreault, of Cape Coral, FL, failed to post bail of $30,000 and remains incarcerated in the Cumberland County Prison. He has since been charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor false imprisonment, and citation harassment.
Pennsylvania State Police say they were contacted around 3:10pm on August 6th for a reported assault perpetrated some hours before with a knife and fists. Troopers spoke with the victim who alleged that she was driving around the Chambersburg and Shippensburg areas all night until about 5:30am, during which time Paul Perreault assaulted her.
Troopers say the victim had a swollen and bruised face, including on her temple, orbital, cheek bones, and eyelids. Additionally, she reportedly showed signs of bruises on her fingers and a laceration to her arm…
