One MPH Turned Her Porsche 911 Speeding Ticket Into Handcuffs

  • Deputies say the Porsche was traveling 96 mph in a 45 mph zone.
  • Florida criminalizes speeds of 50 mph or more above the limit.
  • The driver was arrested, and deputies said the Porsche was towed.

The Porsche 911 has spent decades as an understated, one could say subtle supercar. A bright pink 911 in Porsche’s Ruby Star color is not subtle. It is also not the sort of car that blends into traffic when it is allegedly traveling more than twice the posted speed limit. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, that combination ended with an arrest and a tow truck in Fort Myers, Florida, on Sunday.

Deputies say they were conducting traffic enforcement on Three Oaks Parkway when they spotted a pink Porsche traveling 96 mph (154 km/h) in a 45 mph (72 km/h) zone. The driver, identified as Jenifer Delisi, was arrested and charged with dangerous excessive speeding.
