Student at Coronado High School in Lee County accused of bringing firearm to school

FORT MYERS, Fla.

A student at Coronado High School was arrested by deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office after they say he brought a gun to school.

LCSO says that on Wednesday, a school resource officer was alerted to concerns involving a student who reportedly had access to a firearm. When the student arrived on campus, deputies say a routine backpack check revealed a handgun holster, Glock backstraps and an empty ammunition box…
