A Cape Coral family is pleading for leniency after their 74-year-old father, Joseph Giancola, was sentenced to six months in federal prison for making threatening communications online.
The incident began on October 30, 2025, when multiple agencies, including Homeland Security and Cape Coral police, conducted a 6 a.m. raid on the Giancola home off Chiquita Boulevard.
