Florida’s Buc-ee’s pipeline has another concrete update, this time in Charlotte County. While several Florida Buc-ee’s projects are moving at very different speeds, the planned Southwest Florida travel center has now cleared its final local site-plan vote and has a clearer development timeline.
Charlotte County commissioners approved the final detailed site plan on September 8 for the Buc-ee’s planned near Interstate 75 and Harborview Road. New reporting this week adds an important detail: the county-approved development schedule calls for the project to be substantially completed by September 8, 2029.
The 2029 date is not an opening date
