Two people dead following vehicle crash in Florida

FLORIDA — A late-night crash at a Bonita Springs intersection left two people dead Sunday after an SUV turned into the path of a motorcycle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred around 10:23 p.m. at the intersection of Imperial Parkway and East Terry Street. An 18-year-old motorcyclist from Fort Myers was traveling north on Imperial Parkway at a high rate of speed as an SUV approached the intersection heading south in a left-turn lane.

Authorities said both drivers had a green traffic signal at the time. The SUV driver, a 65-year-old man from Bonita Springs, began making a left turn and entered the motorcycle’s path…
