CAPE CORAL, Florida — Two drivers were arrested for street racing and excessive speeding on Nicholas Parkway, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.
On May 5, 2026, at approximately 11:20 p.m., a Cape Coral Police officer observed four vehicles traveling at high speeds on Nicholas Parkway West. Using radar, the officer confirmed a speed of 68 mph in a 35 mph zone. The vehicles, including two Ford Mustangs, a silver Infiniti G35, and a dark-colored pickup truck, were seen revving their engines at a red light before accelerating rapidly, reaching speeds of up to 90 mph.
The officer conducted a traffic stop on the silver Infiniti at 701 Nicholas Parkway East, where Joaquin Sierra Jr., a 35-year-old from Cape Coral, Florida, was identified as the driver.
