CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – Local authorities took two Port Charlotte men into custody on Wednesday following separate investigations into sexual offenses involving minors. The arrests of David John Reyes and Timothy Roy Bush, both of whom reportedly confessed to detectives, have prompted a stern warning from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
The first investigation began on May 6, 2026, when deputies arrived at a residence on Appian Street to handle a domestic disturbance call. During the visit, a victim disclosed to officers that David John Reyes, 45, had been involved in a sexual relationship with her since she was 17 years old.
