Cape Coral teacher arrested for alleged misconduct with student

CAPE CORAL, Florida — A teacher at Ida S. Baker High School has been arrested following allegations of inappropriate conduct with a student, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

The investigation began on February 2, 2026, when school administration reported that a student disclosed her former teacher, 36-year-old Casimiro Razo, of Cape Coral, Florida, made comments about her appearance, passed her handwritten notes, obtained her phone number, and communicated with her outside of school. The student also reported that in October 2025, Razo asked her to stay after class, led her into a storage room, and kissed her on the lips. Phone records corroborated the student’s report, stated the source.

Based on the investigation, a warrant was issued for Razo’s arrest. On May 7, 2026, just before 7 a.m., he was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on a felony warrant. Razo was taken to the Lee County Jail on the charge of one count of sex offense against a student by an authority figure…
